ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Malliouhana Fest is a vibrant celebration of everything that makes Anguilla special - our culture, heritage, creativity and community.
From inspiring art walks and captivating live performances to storytelling and cultural experiences, Malliouhana Fest brings residents and visitors together to discover local talent, connect with our traditions and celebrate the creativity that makes our island unique.
But the celebration doesn't stop there!
Through interactive workshops, creative forums and networking opportunities, the festival also creates space for local artists, entrepreneurs and creative microbusinesses to learn, grow, share ideas and build meaningful connections.
Whether you're an art lover, a creative entrepreneur, a culture enthusiast or simply looking for a great experience, there's something for you at Malliouhana Fest.
Come explore, be inspired, and make connections.
Before Anguilla was known by its present-day name, the island was called Malliouhana by its Indigenous Arawak inhabitants. Believed to mean “arrow-shaped sea serpent,” the name reflects the island’s long, slender shape and its deep connection to the Caribbean Sea. Today, Malliouhana remains a beautiful reminder of Anguilla’s history, cultural heritage, and island identity.
